The backbone of any Defender should be only the best and original. Our chassis from Marsland are built on the original jigs and tooling from the Solihull production line for Defenders.
The Marsland Defender chassis manufactured by GKN Wheels & Structures, supplied with an insurance accepted GKN Certificate of Authenticity confirming the chassis are constructed using the same materials, processes and quality control techniques as were stipulated at the time of original equipment manufacturer.
Type approved and crash tested.
All Defender chassis are built to 2016 type/latest specification, including rear cross member and A-frame cross member. GKN pressed section main legs/rails made from 2mm steel with 3mm stiffeners fitted and spot welded internally for added strength, effectively giving you 5mm of material where most needed. Chassis supplied with bolt in gearbox cross member, rear cross member to body bracket, A-frame to chassis bushes including fixings. Power steering pipe, fuel filter, fuel tank and fuel line riv nuts fitted to chassis. All holes drilled and tapped excluding rear tow pack holes. Galvanised as standard.
LS - 200Tdi - V8 Engine Chassis
Featuring the latest Puma updates with reinforced main rails, upgraded bulkhead outriggers and rear cross member with integral fixing nuts for tow plate and recessed mounting point for towing plug. Designed and manufactured to accept multiple types of engines. Instead of welded on motor mounts, this chassis has double plated sections with weld nuts for bolt on motor mounts, making it the perfect choice for all types of engine conversions
LS - 200Tdi - V8 Engine Chassis
We have worked with Marsland to develop a chassis that has interchangeable mounts that support GM LS style engines, 200Tdi and Rover V8 engines - no welding required.
